OneBeacon Announces New Program Group

MINNETONKA, Minn., April 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- OneBeacon Insurance Group, Ltd. (NYSE: OB) has announced the formation of its newest specialty business — OneBeacon Program Group (OBPG). Led by President Dan Beaudette, the group will focus on small to medium commercial business written through select managing general agents, managing general underwriters and program administrators.

Dennis Crosby, OneBeacon Executive Vice President of Specialty Lines, noted, "We are very excited to welcome Dan and his team to OneBeacon.  Their longtime commitment, involvement and expertise are well known throughout the Program marketplace.  We view this opportunity as a natural extension of our specialty capabilities and look forward to their disciplined approach in building this book of business in the years ahead."

Beaudette's prior experience includes nearly 15 years in the program insurance business with national carriers.  Joining Beaudette are Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer Greg Deville, Senior Vice President Randy Worth and Claims Vice President, Bryan Wakefield.
