Frankenmuth Insurance Announces Executive Promotions

Fred Edmond was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance Company and its subsidiaries, Ansur America Insurance Company, ASure Worldwide Insurance Company, Fortuity Insurance Company and Patriot Life Insurance Company. With 14 years of prior insurance experience in claims, underwriting and marketing, Fred joined the company in October 1998 as Marketing Group Coordinator. He was promoted to Group Coordinator and Sales Manager for the company's Michigan Region in November 2001, Sales Manager in April 2004, Vice President in October 2005 and Senior Vice President in July 2012. He was elected to the Company's Board of Directors in April 2008.

Fred holds an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Delta College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance/Management from Western Michigan University. He also earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1992 and his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2000. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Executive Committee of the Insurance Institute of Michigan, and a member and past president of the Northeastern Michigan Chapter of the Society of CPCU.

Frankenmuth's life insurance subsidiary, Patriot Life Insurance Company, also announced two executive promotions.

Rich Pomeroy was promoted to Vice President of Sales for Patriot Life Insurance Company. With more than 30 years of life insurance sales experience, he joined the company in July 2011 as Senior Life Field Manager and was promoted to Director of Sales in July 2012.

Rich has earned the following professional designations: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL), and Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF).

Martin Dinehart officially joined Patriot Life Insurance Company in December, 2013, and was appointed Vice President of Operations by the Board of Directors on January 23, 2014. He comes to Patriot Life with 33 years of life insurance experience in underwriting, operations, marketing and claims.

Marty holds a BS in Business Administration from Valparaiso University and an MBA degree with a Concentration in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago. He has also earned the Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation.
