Forum To Feature SC&RA Financial Benchmarking Study

FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 16 -- The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association issued the following news release:

SC&RA's Financial, Insurance & Risk Management Forum, November 14-15, at the Villas of Grand Cypress, Orlando, Fla., will include a pre-event session that examines the findings of the SC&RA 2012 Financial Benchmarking Study, which will be completed in September. This session is open to SC&RA members only.

The study provides a "snapshot" of the unique specialized transport, crane rental and rigging industries, allowing participants to compare their companies to others of similar size and type. The forum session, Successful Financial Strategies for Your Specialized Company, will be facilitated by Mike Whitlock, Tannian Consulting, Redmond, Wash., who also has worked with SC&RA on past Financial Benchmarking Studies. Key areas of focus will include strategizing balance sheet and income statement management, improving cash flow and refining sales goals and growth strategies.

Forum sessions are geared toward owners/principals and personnel in finance, upper management and human resources. Presenters include experts in risk management, crisis management and financial analysis. The overall focus of the Forum is to arm attendees with a variety of new ideas to control costs and improve operations.
