Flawless Smile to host fifth annual Free Dental Day [Claremore Daily Progress, Okla.]

Oct. 30--CLAREMORE -- Flawless Smile dentistry will host its fifth annual Free Dental Day from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday at the Claremore office located at 1502 W. Blue Starr Drive.

The first-come, first-serve affair provides the opportunity for anyone, insurance or not, to receive dental work for free. Adults will be eligible to receive a simple filling or simple extraction, while children under 12 will be eligible for a simple filling or teeth cleaning.

No appointments are necessary.

Dr. Ali Torabi, as well as, colleagues from neighboring dental offices, will perform the dental work. Torabi said the office is expecting to see between 40-55 people throughout the event.

Extra space will be provided by MobileSmiles Oklahoma to accompany the patients.

MobileSmiles Oklahoma is a program co-managed by the Oklahoma Dental Foundation and Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation (ODF).

The mobile dental units, equipped with supplies and equipment, travel across the state, providing free dental care. The program relies heavily on volunteer dental professionals to make each visit successful, said Susan Hoover, program relations manager for ODF.

As one of the sponsors for Free Dental Day, First Baptist Church of Claremore provided the community investment necessary to have MobileSmiles for the annual event.

"We've had a tremendous backing from the community in years past and this year is no different," said Torabi. We want to thank all of our sponsors for their support. Without them (Free Dental Day) wouldn't be possible."

He said he and his staff look forward to hosting the event and giving back to the community for many more years to come.
