Five New Product Releases Enhance Urix Analytic Platform For Healthcare Claims Analysis

HEDIS scoring, Clinical Practice Report Cards, Reinsurance Engine and Drillable Episode Grouping further broaden Urix’ Health Analytics toolset

Cheshire, CT - September 19, 2006 -  Over the past few years Urix’ health data analytics and reporting toolset has consistently been judged as best in market by health plans for group account reporting and enterprise-wide analytics.  Described as powerful and fast, yet easy to use, 4 out of 5 health plans presented with a demonstration of the Urix Analytic Platform preferred the Urix solution to the incumbent market leaders. To further enhance the power of its rapidly growing health data analytics platform, Urix today announced five major new product releases:

1.  Urix HEDIS Scoring Engine
Urix’ HEDIS scoring engine, known as QUANTUM,  is a web based tool that runs against healthcare datasets acquired and cleansed through USTART, Urix’ proprietary and revolutionary ETL toolset specifically designed for the acquisition, mapping and cleansing of healthcare data.  The system will populate the Urix HEDIS analytics cubes and Clinical Practice XP reports.

QUANTUM allows users to create and maintain calculation codes for HEDIS scores via a web interface. The system includes a highly efficient computation technique making it possible for monthly HEDIS scoring rather than the traditional annual scoring – thereby opening up significant opportunities to include HEDIS values into a pro-active quality of care analysis cycle.

2.  XP – Analytics Xtension Pack
The XP system is an extension to the Urix Analytic Platform to give users an instantaneous reporting mechanism that pivots off their cube interactions in the ad-hoc analytics layer. However, it is not limited to cube queries only and allows developers to rapidly deliver highly defined custom reports to clients around specific topics of interest.

The XP system comprises Clinical Practice Reports, Provider Report Cards, and Member/Claimant Reviews.

3.  Urix ReCLAIM
The new and completely redesigned Reinsurance Engine uses cleansed data acquired through the USTART databases together with specific encoded reinsurance contract terms to determine stop loss values for both reinsured carriers and reinsurance companies.

Since each reinsurance contract is unique, the ReCLAIM is custom built for each client, within the framework of a robust and reusable environment. The “ReCLAIM” reinsurance engine is normally delivered as a package including data acquisition, adjudication, reporting and analysis.

4.  Drillable Episode Grouper
Urix has embedded the market leading episode grouping methodology into its Analytic Platform, such that the results of this grouping methodology are now accessible and drillable in the same intuitive fashion as the rest of the data in the Analytic Platform.

5.  Automated IBNR module
This module allows analysts to automatically generate IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) claims lag triangles within the Urix Analytic Platform.
