Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Hires New Chief Information Officer

Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, the nation’s largest privately owned specialty pharmacy, announced today the hiring of David LeBlanc, an accomplished Information Technology executive, as its Chief Information Officer. Mr. LeBlanc will be responsible for the overall technology service delivery at Diplomat. He will report directly to Sean Whelan, Chief Financial Officer at Diplomat.

In his new role as Chief Information Officer, Mr. LeBlanc will be responsible for:
1.    Developing a go forward technology strategy to meet the needs of Diplomat’s growing organization.
2.    Providing leadership and oversight with the development and installation of Diplomat’s next generation patient care and dispensing systems.
3.    Implementing new business and data warehousing systems.
4.    Building and executing Diplomat’s portal and mobility strategies.

With over 27 years of technology experience, Mr. LeBlanc has extensive experience in Information Technology spanning a variety of industries including: Air Freight, Distribution, Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing, Healthcare, and most recently, Technology Sales and Service delivery. He has been involved in several high growth companies such as Zantop International Airlines, Klockner Namasco, Parks Production, Becker Group, Plastech Engineered Products and Compuware. Mr. LeBlanc has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, supply chain management, business intelligence, enterprise resource planning, data management, software development lifecycle management and quality management.

Mr. LeBlanc holds a technical degree in Management Information Systems from Michigan Technological Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is also a certified project management professional registered with the Project Management Institute.
