C&P Inspection A/S (CPI) uses Microsoft® SharePoint® Integrated with ARX’s CoSign® digital signature solution to enable external collaboration and the routing of signed inspection reports via laptop computers.
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Danish inspection firm and engineering certification provider, CPI, implemented the CoSign digital signature add-on for SharePoint, which enables digital signing from within SharePoint and allows CPI to maximize their paperless investment. With the new digital signature capability, CPI’s engineers can electronically authorize inspections and reports created at customer sites, generating expedited processes and greatly improving customer service. By adding CoSign digital signature capability to SharePoint, CPI saves $130,000 in printing, scanning, archiving, routing, and lost document replacement costs.
Via the CoSign for SharePoint digital signature solution, CPI's engineers can digitally sign and archive the reports they create for customers on-site, via a laptop and a wireless Internet connection. The engineers prepare the report in Microsoft Word format, convert it to PDF, digitally sign the report with CoSign, and upload the file to SharePoint. The report is simultaneously published on CPI’s Customer Portal, allowing their customers to easily download and review their documentation.
"CoSign for SharePoint has changed the way we've done business," said Hans Christiansen, CEO of CPI. "It has saved us money and significantly improved our customer service."
CoSign has also enabled CPI to migrate to a fully automated process for certifying engineer qualifications, meaning they can prepare the certification documentation electronically and sign it digitally, eliminating the reliance on paper and simplifying the routing process to the greatest extent. In addition, CoSign enables the organization to add digital signatures to PDFs and SharePoint Lists seamlessly, further enhancing its ability to catalyze the speed of workflows.
"As highlighted by CPI's use, CoSign for SharePoint adds sought-after digital signature functionality to various subjects within the SharePoint environment," said Raanan Dahari, EMEA Sales Director, ARX. "This functionality includes allowing users to digitally sign items within SharePoint Custom Lists, as well as digitally sign PDF documents and verify signatures of PDF, DOC, and DOCX documents within the SharePoint Document Libraries."
