Desktop Alert Inc. Appoints Former Microsoft Program Manager Justin Van Patten as Chief Technical Officer

Desktop Alert Inc. a world class provider of Secure Mass Notification Systems (MNS) and recent winner of the U.S. Army Fort Hood Mass Notification Award and providers of the United States National Guard and Air National Guard mass notification platform announced today that Justin Van Patten has re-joined the Desktop Alert Total Alert System Team after a five year departure from Desktop Alert to work for Microsoft in Redmond Washington.

Justin Van Patten, original architect and lead developer for the Desktop Alert Mass Notification Platform, has recently resigned as program manager on the .NET Framework Core Platform team at Microsoft, where he worked on the .NET Framework Base Class Libraries, to rejoin Desktop Alert Inc. as Chief Technical Officer. In 2003, while enrolled at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Justin designed and developed Desktop Alert's first .NET Platform in two coop semesters.
