CycleTrader Participates in Fundraiser for “One Fund Boston”

CycleTrader.com was recently honored by Indian Motorcycle of Northern New Jersey for contributing to an event that supported families affected by the tragic events at this year’s Boston Marathon. Proceeds from the May 28 event were sent to One Fund Boston.

Despite the misty morning weather and three other major area events during the same weekend, more than 450 people attended the fundraiser. The dealership raised just over $5,000 for One Fund Boston.

Paige Bouma, general manager of CycleTrader.com, said, “We want to help our dealerships whenever we can, especially with events such as this. We share the same values and priorities, so when we can collaborate for a great cause, it’s very rewarding.”

Vendors that day included Polished Motorcycle Detailing, Rider Insurance, and Anthony Vella Designs. The Indian motorcycle, "Spirit of Munro" Special Streamliner, and the new Indian Motorcycle Thunder Stroke 111 Engine were also on display. Other vintage Indian motorcycles included a 1912 Board Track Racer and a 1931 101 Scout.

Stephen Waite, vice president and general manager of Indian Motorcycle of Northern New Jersey, said, “I appreciated the support of CycleTrader. I only wish we could have raised more money for such a worthy cause.”

There were raffles every half-hour, giving away dozens of prizes like Major League Baseball tickets, motorcycle service certificates, restaurant gift cards, leather jackets, helmets, t-shirts, a custom-painted helmet, and more. Indian Motorcycle of Northern New Jersey also provided plenty of food for the attendees.
