New York, NY - October 16, 2006 - Corporate Insight, the leader in providing competitive intelligence, analysis, and consulting services to the financial services industry, today announced the launch of Annuity Monitor, an ongoing look into the marketing, selling, and servicing of annuities by the largest firms in the industry. By having active accounts at 20 major annuity providers, Corporate Insight can report on the pulse of the annuities market with an in-depth examination of the capabilities, services, and marketing messages offered by these firms. In addition, subscribers to Annuity Monitor will also have access to tools, sales ideas, and marketing collateral developed by competitors to support their advisor-based distribution channels.
"Annuity Monitor offers our clients the ability to effectively monitor the highly competitive annuity market space and develop best in class marketing and servicing strategies," said Peter Ellison, CEO of Corporate Insight. "By opening and funding accounts at the industry’s major annuity providers, we are able to provide a clear and unbiased view of the retail investor experience. This is a first for the industry and builds upon our reputation for examining and documenting the customer experience across the broad spectrum of financial services products and services."
The inaugural issue of Annuity Monitor entitled, "Introductory Report - Public Website Reviews" provides a comprehensive look at 20 major annuity providers and the look and feel they present to visitors. This 62 page report contains detailed findings, a product matrix, and recommendations to the industry. It represents a key component of the Annuity Monitor service that also includes bi-weekly updates, a detailed monthly best practice report, quarterly capabilities benchmarking matrix and private-site AccountViewer CD-ROM, and access to archived Annuity Monitor reports via Corporate Insights’ Website.
"Initial response to our inaugural report has been outstanding," said Benjamin Pousty, Senior Analyst and author of Annuity Monitor. "Over the next year, we plan to explore a variety of timely topics including private site reviews, the account opening process, a review of collateral materials, an account statement analysis, a look at advisor sales kits, educational resources and interactive tools, and advisor and private site account tools."
