Charlotte Gelin, an award-winning free-lance photographer and graphic designer, has been working in the publishing industry for 20 years. She photographed this month's cover. Based in Melbourne, Australia, she has had work published in Australian Ski Extra, Australian Triathlete, Boardzone and other magazines, newspapers, catalogues and websites. When not shooting portraits, product shots or commissions for editorial, she is passionate about travelling, cooking, doing the art direction for music videos, collecting tin-toy robots, photographing live bands and raising her lively brood of kids.
Diana Britton, a staff writer at Registered Rep., wrote this month's cover story on tactical asset allocation. At Registered Rep., she covers independent broker/dealers and investing, among other things. Previously, she spent over a year working as managing editor for Heavy Duty Trucking, a publication of Newport Business Media in California. Registered Rep. is not her first experience in financial journalism. Before moving to California, she was a reporter with Institutional Investor News'Money Management Letter, where she covered pension fund investments and institutional asset management. She holds a master's degree in journalism from New York University. A native of Los Angeles, she now lives in Queens, N.Y.

He has a special focus on how the baby boomer generation is revising its approach to money, careers and lifestyle after age 50. Mark edits and publishes RetirementRevised.com, featured as one of the best retirement planning sites on the web in the May 2010 issue of Money magazine. He writes Retire Smart, a syndicated weekly newspaper column and also contributes weekly to Reuters.com. He is the author of The Hard Times Guide to Retirement Security: Practical Strategies for Money, Work and Living (John Wiley & Sons, 2010).
Joshua Brown, a New York City-based financial advisor at Fusion Analytics, a registered investment advisor, wrote “Clients From Hell,” the feature on page 43. He helps people invest, and manages portfolios for them. Josh's clients range from individuals to corporations to retirement plans to charitable foundations. He is also the author of The Reformed Broker blog and a regular contributor to Forbes, CNBC and the Wall Street Journal. Josh's forthcoming book from McGraw-Hill, “Backstage Wall Street,” takes readers behind the scenes for an up-close look at how the investment industry really works. He lives on the South Shore of Long Island with his wife and two children.
