Compulife Enhances Internet Term Comparisons

NICHOLASVILLE, KY (July 16, 2003) -- Compulife Software, Inc. has just introduced two new features to its internet term comparison engine which powers it's public web site www.term4sale.com.

Compulife also offers its internet term comparison software through a group it calls authorized web providers. Compulife's authorized web providers are independent companies which offer internet services and hosting solutions targeted specifically to the insurance community. Providing that an agent or agency is a Compulife subscriber, the authorized web provider is permitted to connect that agent or agency's web site to a customized variation of the Compulife internet term comparisons. There is no additional fee payable to Compulife for the privilege to use its web comparisons.

Agents or agencies who use the authorized web providers as their hosting solutions can add on-line term quotes at no additional charge providing that they are a Compulife subscriber. If the agent/agency already has their site hosted by a third party, a typical connection to the on-line term quoting system ranges in price from $99 annually to $15 monthly.

The Compulife internet engine used by the web providers has recently been enhanced to provide two additional features. Either of these features can be sampled by visiting www.term4sale.com

The first new option lets a consumer instantly compare the lowest cost level term insurance products for multiple categories at the same time. Before this a consumer visiting an agent's web site could only compare one category at a time. With the new option the consumer can select a 10 year versus a 20 year comparison where they will see the lowest priced 10 year products followed by the lowest priced 20 year products all on the same page.

The second option makes it much easier to see the year by year difference in cost between the lowest 10 and 20 year products. Compulife is now offering its spreadsheet comparison as a single button option to the internet comparison. By pressing that button a consumer will display a side-by-side spreadsheet comparison of the 6 least expensive products. In the case of the 10 year versus 20 year term comparison, the 3 lowest priced 10 year products are placed next to the 3 lowest priced 20 year policies.

The agent also has the option to allow the consumer to see the accumulated premium costs at 5 year intervals. This makes it easy to see that while a 20 year policy costs more for the first 10 years, it costs much less after that.

Compulife president Bob Barney said, "Many consumers don't appreciate the difference between 10 and 20 year level term policies. These new comparison options make it much easier for the consumer to understand those differences."

The new internet engine allows the authorized web provider to configure a variety of multiple category comparisons. If the agent wants the internet comparison can include a total of 6 different level term categories all on the same page. As with the previous edition of its internet comparison engine, the authorized web provider can customize the group of companies quoted at the agent's web site.

Barney stressed, "I believe that most consumers should match the level period to the time they will need the insurance. Most people need term insurance until they retire and stop working. A 45 year old should be looking at term insurance for at least 20 years while a consumer who is 35 should probably buy a 30 year policy. It is my hope that these new options will make it easier for agents to point consumers to a product that is more suitable for their needs. That's a win-win scenario for agent and client."

Barney concluded, "Agents who check out www.term4sale.com also need to remember that they can obtain a free listing on that website if they are a subscriber to Compulife."

Compulife does not sell insurance and uses its www.term4sale.com web site to emphasize that the consumer is best served by dealing with a local agent. A free listing is offered to all Compulife subscribers. If you are not a subscriber to Compulife, a 30 day free trial is available upon request. Simply e-mail your name, address and phone number to: [email protected]. Combined with Compulife's new "5 dollar challenge", a first time subscription to Compulife can cost an agent as little as $69. There are discounts for 2 to 5 year subscriptions"
