Furnish all labor, materials and equipment to facilitate waterproofing the number three judges elevator pit at the Post Office/Courthouse located at
This elevator is a hydraulic elevator and the pit is 8'6" X 5'6" and 4' Deep. To make
arrangements to visit the jobsite and look at the elevator pit. Site visit to be conducted on
1. All reasonable care shall be taken to be non-disruptive to the buildings normal
operations. All work shall be scheduled with and coordinated through the local GSA
building management.
2. All reasonable care shall be taken to insure no damage is caused to the elevator
equipment or any other equipment which may be in the work area.
3. The existing water standing in the elevator pit shall be removed and properly
disposed of.
4. After the water is removed, the pit shall be inspected to determine where and how
the water is intruding into the pit. The pit shall be permanently sealed to stop water
coming through cold joints, expansion joints, cracks, water stops, etc.
5. All work is to be performed in a professional workmanship manner. After completion
of the work, all debris shall be removed from the work area and properly disposed of.
The elevator pit shall be left clean and dry. 6. Provide technical description of the proposed sealing process.
