Coast Radiology Imaging & Intervention, Inc. Signs Second Contract Renewal with Leading Medical Billing Provider, Zotec Partners

Consistent results in charges and collections on month-to-month basis leads premier California group to continue outsourcing to radiology billing experts

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Zotec Partners, an industry leader in medical billing, practice management and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) software and services, announces today that Coast Radiology Imaging & Intervention, Inc.,located in Mission Viejo, Calif., has renewed its billing services contract with the company for three years. The leading West Coast group has been a client of Zotec Partners’ since 2007 and renewed its last contract with the company in 2008.

“We continue to rely on Zotec Partners as our outsourced billing provider because they deliver consistent results on a month-to-month basis in terms of charges and collections,” said Dr. Steven Sorenson, COO of Coast Radiology Imaging & Intervention, Inc. “We have been very happy with the level of attention they provide us, and look forward to our continued partnership.”

Coast Radiology Imaging and Intervention, Inc. is the exclusive provider of imaging services for Mission Hospital and Mission Imaging Center. Specializing in diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine and interventional radiology, the group provides a full spectrum of imaging services to Mission Hospital Mission Viejo, Mission Hospital Laguna Beach and CHOC Children's at Mission Hospital.

“Zotec is always responsive to our needs, whether we need a quick report or another piece of critical information,” said Sorenson. “Having instant access to this information allows us to quickly deal with providers as those needs arise. Additionally, tools like the outbound dialer and patient portals provide convenient payment options for self-pay patients, which has saved time and dramatically increased our collections.”

Zotec Partners created a patient portal that allows Coast Radiology’s patients to access their accounts online where they can keep insurance information up to date, make credit card payments and set up automatic payment plans. Using the outbound phone dialers, which are directly integrated with the group’s phone system, Coast Radiology can place calls that subsequently transfer patients to an automated phone system that enables them to make a payment or change their insurance information with limited human interaction.

“We look forward to continuing to help Coast Radiology with its billing needs as physician reimbursement continues to face downward pressure,” said Taylor Moorehead, regional partner of Zotec Partners’ west region. “Since Coast Radiology started working with Zotec Partners, the group has experienced reduced billing costs and increased income, all while having access to information that keeps its business competitive.”

Zotec Partners is a solutions firm serving the hospital-based specialty market. The company offers a comprehensive suite of medical billing and practice management tools and services designed to make operations more efficient and productive in medical offices. Its flagship product, the Electronic Billing Center (EBC) practice management and billing software suite, serves 5,500 physicians in 45 states. Zotec Partners’ EBC RIS software version 6.7 is certified for Ambulatory Meaningful Use by the Certified HIT Product List under the EHR Module product classification.
