Chubb to Offer Enhanced Protection to Customers Traveling Abroad

The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies will offer access to a travel risk management website to eligible personal, commercial and accident insurance customers.

Managed by Europ Assistance, a global medical, safety and security solutions provider, the online portal includes country and city risk ratings, real-time security alerts, local health, safety and security reports, travel risk mitigation tips, transportation information and several tools to manage medical incidents while traveling.

In the event of a medical emergency almost anywhere in the world, Europ Assistance’s multilingual representatives can be reached 24/7 by telephone or online to provide travelers with:
·    Referrals to nearby physicians, dentists and medical facilities;
·    Medical monitoring by professional case managers (including physicians and nurses) to determine if care is appropriate or if evacuation or repatriation is required;
·    Advance payments to medical providers for covered emergency care; and
·    Emergency medical evacuation or repatriation.

Europ Assistance’s services will be available beginning January 1, 2014, to Chubb’s personal insurance customers with Signature PassportSM policies and commercial customers with Exporters Package Portfolio, World Network or Customarq policies that include foreign voluntary workers compensation, international blanket accident or blanket accident coverage. It also will be available to customers who have a Chubb accident policy with a medical evacuation and repatriation benefit.
