Chris Mendoza Promoted to Vice President at MassMutual

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Chris Michael Mendoza has been promoted to Vice President of Multicultural Market Development at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual).

Mr. Mendoza, who reports to John Chandler, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for MassMutual, is responsible for leading a team of professionals who specialize in the development of multicultural business and market strategies, including securing and leveraging strategic alliances with diverse organizations that support recruiting and business generation.

Mr. Mendoza joined MassMutual in 2007 as Director of Multicultural Markets, after working with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company as a marketing director and Allstate Insurance in various capacities (an agent, agency manager and marketing director). He was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Multicultural Market Development at MassMutual in 2009.

Mr. Mendoza is a graduate of the University of Texas, and holds an MBA and doctorate degree in business administration. His research on Hispanic entrepreneurship is published in various academic and business journals and was featured at the 2008 conference of the U.S. Small Business Association for Entrepreneurship.
