CBDriver.com Launches “Put Your Car or Truck to Work” Campaign For Courier Drivers

Delray Beach, FL (PRWEB) July 29, 2011

CBDriver.com is an online network for courier delivery drivers helping them grow their driving business by connecting them to driving contracts and opportunities throughout the U.S. CBDriver currently has over 24,000 registered driver members.

CBDriver is the first driver recruiting site focused on independent courier drivers with their own vehicles. Companies needing drivers for temporary or repeat delivery work can access this driver pool by posting driver wanted ads or purchasing a driver profile search on CBDriver. Courier companies, newspaper distributors, florists, retail stores, companies with seasonal delivery needs, and hundreds of other businesses use courier drivers to handle their delivery requirements.

Individuals looking for work register for free as members of CBDriver’s network and receive many free benefits to help them find driving contracts and save money. Driver members begin by creating an online driver profile that includes contact information, vehicle info, background info and experience, which is saved in their CBDriver account. When the driver responds to an ad their saved driver profile information is automatically sent to the company with the posted ad.

Driver members are automatically enrolled in the CBDriver alert system which sends every member email alerts when new Driver Wanted Ads are posted in their area. CBDriver sends out over 60,000 alerts per month notifying drivers when new driving opportunities have been posted near them.

Because drivers are often on the road when new ads are posted during the day, CBDriver has launched a mobile version of their site, where drivers can respond to ads they see on their phones with one click. “In less than 2 minutes after receiving a new driver wanted ad alert, a driver can pull off the road, review the ad and respond using a smart phone,” explained Chris Kane, CEO of CBDriver.

Who can be a driver? Anyone who is reliable, professional, has a well maintained clean vehicle, insurance, a clean driving record and a clean background - has the ability to go out and look for driving opportunities. The majority of ads posted on CBDriver are looking for drivers with a car, minivan, SUV, cargo van, covered pickup truck or box truck. People who have been laid off, veterans, retirees, people who have seasonal jobs and blocks of time when they are not working - are all perfect candidates for courier driving opportunities. A driver can find opportunities that are full time or find driving contracts that might only require weekends, or nights, or certain days of the week. Courier driving can be a full time business or a great way to make extra income. Drivers should notify their insurance company if they are using their vehicle for delivery work and review coverage requirements with any companies they do deliveries for.

Drivers can promote and advertise themselves and their driving business for free on CBDriver by posting Driver Available Ads that include their driver profile. Companies looking for drivers can search CBDriver’s database and find drivers advertising their availability and contact them directly.

CBDriver also gives drivers a pre-formatted resume with their free membership. “We wanted to give our driver members as many tools as possible to help them look professional and increase their chance of getting work,” added June Hayford, COO. “Putting together a resume can be hard. Once the driver registers we take their information and format it into a professional looking resume. The driver can print it out to take to interviews or send to prospective companies by email directly through their CBDriver account.”

CBDriver’s Resource section features links to companies that offer discounted auto and truck supplies, online legal resources for incorporating, car and truck rental companies, and other resources that can help drivers save money and build their business.

“Our goal in building CBDriver was to focus on three key things drivers need: they need free tools to help them get work, they need free tools to market themselves, and they need access to resources that can help build their driving business. That is what CBDriver is all about – helping drivers put their cars and trucks to work,” summarized June Hayford, COO.

CBDriver.com is the driver recruiting division of Courierboard LLC.
