CSB appoints branch managers

MILLERSBURG -- Marianne Davis has been appointed manager of the Commerical & Savings Bank'sSouth Clay Banking Center in Millersburg, and Kendra Gundrum has been promoted to manager of the Clinton Commons Banking Center located in Rodhe's Marketplace. Both appointments are effective Jan. 1.

Davis has 29 years of banking experience, joining CSB in 2004 and serving as the manager of the Clinton Commons Banking Center since 2005. She resides in the Becks Mills area with her husband, Gene, and is active throughout the Holmes County community.

Gundrum is a graduate of West Holmes High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Ashland University. She joined CSB in August in the Banking Center Manager Development Program and has five years of banking experience, most recently serving as the manager of a banking center in Richland County. Gundrum resides in the Killbuck area with her husband, John.

CCJ hires three new associates

WOOSTER -- Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston has hired Daniel P. Calvin, Kimberly L. Hall and Nickolas K. Davidson as associate attorneys.

They were sworn in as new attorneys in November.

Calvin's undergraduate and law degrees were from The Ohio State University. He focuses his practice on corporate/business, estate planning and real estate. Calvin is a member of the Wayne County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. He recently joined the Wooster Rotary Club and has served as a volunteer income tax return preparer.

Hall graduated from West Holmes High School and The College of Wooster. She also graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served as a managing editor of the Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal. Hall, who will be a litigator for CCJ, is a member of Friends and Neighbors of Every Women's House of Holmes County. She is a member of the Holmes County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.

Davidson has received undergraduate, law and master of accounting degrees from Ohio State University. He focuses his practice on estate planning, corporate/business and real estate. He is a member of the Wayne County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. Davidson has volunteered as a volunteer income tax return preparer and served as a site coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program in Columbus during his final year in law school.

Varner joins Farmers State Bank

ASHLAND -- Farmers State Bank has hired John Varner as agricultural loan officer.

Varner started his lending career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farmers Home Administration as an assistant county supervisor in Wooster, then as county supervisor in Norwalk. With the consolidation of USDA agencies in 1995, Varner became the farm loan manager with the USDA Farm Service Agency in Norwalk, overseeing all agency farm loan activity for 12 counties in north central Ohio.

He retired from the Farm Service Agency at the end of October and joined the staff at Farmers State Bank.
