BrightLine Certifies Kony’s Multi-Channel Experience Cloud as HIPAA Compliant

Kony, Inc. has announced that the Kony Multi-Channel Experience Cloud has been named Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act compliant by BrightLine.
In a release, the Company noted that this verification states that Kony's cloud-based solutions have the necessary administrative, physical and technical safeguards in place to ensure that mobile applications developed and deployed on its platform provide the safety and security of customer's protected health information.
"Healthcare-related companies make up a significant amount of our customer base. As such, this verification is a tremendous accomplishment for Kony," said Sriram Ramanathan, CTO at Kony. "Our customers understandably have security concerns when it comes to developing mobile applications with data sensitivity, and we continually hear these same apprehensions about cloud-based development. Attaining HIPAA compliance is great validation for mobile application development in the cloud."
Kony is a cloud-based mobile application development platform.
