Bon Secours Health System Joins Quantros Patient Safety Center

As a national PSO, QPSC enables the entire Bon Secours organization to collaborate and measure performance against their peers within a legally protected environment. Bon Secours has more than 30 facilities and 21,000 employees across seven states.
“Our priority is to maintain the safest possible care environment for our patients and residents,” said
The Federal Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 (Patient Safety Act) authorized the creation of PSOs to improve the quality and safety of U.S. healthcare delivery. The Patient Safety Act encourages clinicians and health care organizations to voluntarily report and share quality and patient safety information to PSOs in return for federal confidentiality and privilege protection for submitted data.
In addition to joining QPSC, Bon Secours will implement Quantros Safety and Risk Management (SRM), a comprehensive Web-based event reporting, tracking, monitoring and workflow management solution. By seamlessly integrating with QPSC and other PSOs, Quantros SRM™ streamlines the data collection and submission process. As a result, Bon Secours can manage the PSO submission for its facilities at the corporate level while greatly reducing its administrative burden to do so.
“Managing event data can be time consuming and in some cases confusing for an integrated health system spanning seven states,” said
As both a QPSC member and SRM client, Bon Secours will leverage additional benefits from the Quantros community, including collaboration with Quantros domain experts and access to aggregate, de-identified comparative data from more than 800 facilities that also use the Quantros SRM incident reporting system.
“PSO protection and adverse event reporting are key tools for healthcare providers who want to better manage patient safety and quality improvement in their organizations,” said
