BRIEF: Paying It Forward In Springettsbury Township [WPMT-TV, York, Pa.]

Dec. 14--SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP, York County -- Courtney Hamlin knows a young woman that puts herself on the back-burner, who gives almost all the time, even when it's not the holiday season.

"Trina is just one of those people that's real humble about who she is and she takes care of her family more than she actually takes care of herself," said Courtney.

24-year-old Katrina Almony put her dreams of studying on the side to work, so she could support her two parents and younger sister who just had a baby.

She even cares for her niece so that her sister can get an education.

Courtney said that's not all, Katrina doesn't have insurance and was just diagnosed with some serious health issues that mean, she will not be able to have children.

"She's sick and she needs help but she is not willing to tell anyone to make anyone feel bad for it."

Courtney wants to Pay it Forward to Katrina so that she can have something for herself.

"I want her to be able to have the freedom and she doesn't and it sucks," she said.

Katrina said she still wants to use the money to help support her little niece.

"I just want my family to be happy and not have to worry all the time," said Katrina.
