Aveta Inc. Names Douglas Malton To CFO and Claude Chevance To CAO
Aveta Inc., one of the nation's largest providers of managed health care services, has promoted Douglas Malton to Chief Financial Officer and Claude Chevance to Chief Accounting Officer, company officials announced.
Malton was most recently Aveta's Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Development. Chevance was the company's Vice President and Corporate Controller. As the CAO, he will report to Malton. Malton replaces Aveta's current CFO, Warren Cole, who had assumed the role in 2007 on an interim basis during a period of transition for the company. Cole will return to focus full time on other business ventures.
"We want to thank Warren for helping to bring Aveta to this stage in its growth, and we are pleased to increase the roles and responsibilities of both Doug and Claude," said Richard Shinto, M.D., President and Chief Executive Office of Aveta Inc. "Aveta's growth and industry leadership is due in large part to the talent of the individuals within the organization. Doug and Claude's expertise and advice will continue to be key components of Aveta's long-term business strategy to build sustainable, cost-effective models for coordinating care."
Douglas Malton has served Aveta in a number of senior management roles since the company's founding in 2004. Prior to joining Aveta full time, Malton was a member of the Straus Group where he focused on investing in the healthcare services sector. Prior to that, he spent more than seven years as an investment banker with Citigroup and Oppenheimer where he concentrated on debt and equity capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and the University of Connecticut.
Claude Chevance joined Aveta in 2007, bringing eight years of public accounting experience with KPMG and over fifteen years of diversified experience at top-tier publicly traded companies in the financial services industry, including JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch and the Travelers Companies where he held senior financial management positions. He is a graduate of Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. About Aveta Inc.
