Apex Software Launches Web-Enabled Sketcher for the Insurance Industry
Leading Sketching Software Launches New Sketcher to be Embedded into Customers Online Forms
San Antonio, TX, March 10, 2008 – Apex Software, the leader in property sketch and area calculation solutions for the insurance inspection and underwriting industries as well as the real estate valuation markets, announced today the launch of its new Web-enabled sketching software. Built on over 20 years of experience, the software – which includes the full sketching functionality Apex clients have become accustom to – now allows Apex clients greater flexibility in licensing and distribution of software to their field staff. They also have the ability to quickly and easily integrate the sketch file, building footprint image and all square footage information directly into their customized, online reporting system database.
Mario Riojas, Senior Insurance Account Manager at Apex, states, “Through our discussions with various insurance customers we found that the registration process of our previous versions was becoming inhibitive because of the use of more contract employees in the field and, subsequently, the turnover rate of inspectors. By automatically licensing the sketching software for all users through our clients’ online system, we have eliminated the need for them to guide inspectors through download, installation, and registration procedures. It also eliminates the need for their IT departments to track licenses and registered users.”
Along with the changes to the licensing model, the new software will communicate directly with the clients’ online reporting system. “Clients have been requesting direct integration into their online forms, and we have now answered the call. All of the information from square footage to image files is now easily fed into our clients back-end database automatically,” stated Robert Smoote, Apex Product Manager.
Currently Apex is working with clients in the various stages of migrating to the Web- enabled version, from integration to taking the solution live. These clients were shown the product pre-launch and are taking advantage of the productivity enhancing features available within this new product.
