Anthony R. Slimowicz Joins Crum & Forster as Chief Claims Officer

MORRISTOWN, N.J., June 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Crum & Forster ("C&F") announced that Anthony R. Slimowicz will join the firm as senior vice president and chief claims officer effective June 30, 2014. He will report to Doug Libby, chairman and CEO of C&F, and will be based at the company's headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey.

Anthony and his senior management team will be responsible for leading the process to deliver the highest degree of customer service, along with fair and timely claims settlement."

After graduating from Seton Hall University with a B.S. degree in accounting and Quinnipiac University School of Law with a J.D. degree, Anthony began his career at Ernst & Young as a staff accountant.

He followed this experience by working at the Superior Court of New Jersey for the Honorable Leonard Sachar, and a year later at the U.S. District Court for the Honorable Robert Zampano. In 1993, he joined AIG as a director of staff attorneys, providing advice on all aspects of corporate, insurance, environmental, and construction law.

In 1996, Anthony joined Zurich Financial Services and served as vice president and director, eventually reporting to the head of global claim corporate services. In this capacity, he was responsible for claim and risk engineering for environmental, general liability, and surety for both the United States and United Kingdom. He also worked with a wide range of business segments.

Most recently, Anthony served as chief legal officer for Coordinated Health in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and as chief operating officer for AJS Capital Holdings in Warren, New Jersey.

In addition to his career, Anthony is active in the community. He was appointed by Governor Chris Christie as vice chairman of the board of trustees at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and previously served on the governor's transition team for the Department of Environmental Protection.
