American General Life Companies Launches New Universal Life Product
ContinUL Extend Plus(SM) Offers Guaranteed Death Benefit
HOUSTON, July 16, 2009 — American General Life Companies recently launched a new universal life insurance product, ContinUL Extend Plus(SM), issued by American General Life Insurance Company and The United States Life Insurance Company in the City of New York.
With ContinUL Extend Plus, death-benefit coverage can be guaranteed regardless of fluctuations in interest rates or policy value, if sufficient premium has been paid to maintain the guaranteed death benefit. The product also features a flexible guarantee period, which offers the policy holder the ability to choose the number of years or age to which the death benefit is guaranteed.
“The security of a flexible guarantee period makes ContinUL Extend Plus an excellent choice for income replacement coverage and an exceptional estate planning tool,” said Mike Murphy, vice president, marketing. “In addition, policy holders have the opportunity to build substantial accumulation value over the life of the policy, which provides flexibility not commonly associated with universal life products that feature death benefit guarantees.”
ContinUL Extend Plus offers four non-tobacco underwriting classes, including Standard Plus. For more information about the features and benefits of this product, visit www.americangeneral.com.
