American Business AwardsSM Names CIGNA’s Bob McVey Customer Service Executive of the Year
BLOOMFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CIGNA (NYSE: CI) Customer Service Call Center Vice President Bob McVey has been named the Stevie® Award’s “Customer Service Executive of the Year†at the 2009 American Business Awards.
Both McVey and CIGNA call operations were finalists for three Stevie Awards customer service categories; with McVey receiving top honors for executive leadership resulting in improved service delivery, operational efficiency and exceeding customer expectations. Award-winning initiatives spearheaded by McVey and CIGNA call operations included: extended service hours, new service-enabling technology and the introduction of fully integrated service teams.

Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.
