Allianz Hires Industry Veteran to Lead Government Relations
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz), a leading provider of annuities and life insurance, has appointed Patrick Reeder as senior director of Government Relations. “Reeder brings extensive experience in government affairs to this important position,” said Allianz Chief Legal Counsel Maureen Phillips. “He will lead the company’s advocacy efforts directly with regulators and legislators.” Reeder brings more than 20 years of legal, insurance and compliance related experience to Allianz. Prior to joining Allianz, he served as vice president and associate general counsel of Genworth Financial. Prior to Genworth, Reeder served as corporate counsel and chief compliance officer at The BISYS Group where he was responsible for all aspects of regulatory compliance in the insurance division. In addition, he was the assistant vice president of claims at Reliance Insurance Company. Reeder earned his bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, and graduated magna cum laude with his juris doctorate from Widener University of Law.
