All local school districts closed Wednesday; other local closings

Feb. 12--SCHOOL CLOSINGS & DELAYS

All York County school districts will be CLOSED Wednesday due to inclement weather. St. Anne Catholic School in Rock Hill, will be closed Wednesday and all after-school activities are canceled.

All Chester County schools will be CLOSED Wednesday.

All Lancaster County schools will be CLOSED Wednesday.

Winthrop University has cancelled classes for Wednesday.

York Technical College has cancelled classes for Wednesday.

GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC OFFICES

All courts in South Carolina are closed Wednesday.

Lancaster City Hall will be closed on Wednesday. The City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday night has been canceled. Check lancastercitysc.com or call 803-286-8414 for updates on when City Hall will re-open.

Lancaster County Sheriff's Office National Accreditation Presentation Ceremony Friday has been cancelled.

Fort Mill Town Hall will be on a three-hour delay Wednesday. Public Works will observe its normal schedule. Fort Mill Municipal Court court dates have been rescheduled for Feb. 26. Ticket holders should check fortmillsc.org for details about what time to report.

City of York and town of Clover government offices are closed Wednesday. Rock Hill city offices will be open. Tega Cay government offices will initially be on a three-hour delay but will likely close all day Wednesday.

County offices in York, Chester and Lancaster counties will be closed Wednesday.

The York County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Staffers will remain on-site at the board's 26 residential homes.

All branches of the Chester County and York County Library are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

All City of Rock Hill recreation centers, parks, and trails are closed until further notice due to the inclement weather.

Rock Hill'sKnowledge Park workshop on Thursday will be rescheduled.

Kings Mountain National Military Park is closed Wednesday.

MEDICAL

Piedmont Medical Center's main hospital is open for emergencies and scheduled procedures. Offsite locations Baxter Imaging Center and Fort Mill Mammography will be closed Wednesday.

Southeast Pain Care, 1655 Herlong Court, Suite B, Rock Hill will be closed Wednesday.

All PMC Physician Network offices will be closed. Baxter Urgent Care Center will close at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Women's Diagnostic Center will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Carolina Surgical Center will close at noon Wednesday and will be closed Thursday.

EVENTS

Sterling House of Rock Hill seminar on long-term care insurance scheduled for Thursday has been canceled.

Boys & Girls Clubs of York County will not operate on Wednesday.

The city of Rock Hill's Child Passenger Safety Class scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Law Center is canceled.

The city of Rock Hill's ?Black History Month? program scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday has been canceled and may be rescheduled.

<org>Chester High girls soccer scrimmage Thursday against Mid-Carolina has been canceled.

The Palmer Lecture at Winthrop University has been cancelled on Wednesday and will be rescheduled for March 11. The university has also cancelled tonight's College of Visual and Performing Arts Emerging Scholars and Teachers in the Arts event. Thursday's graduate school and alumni association event in Charlotte is rescheduled for April 24 at 6 p.m.

Winthrop women's tennis match for Tuesday has been rescheduled for Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. The men's doubleheader has been postponed. The men's tennis team will play UNC Charlotte at 2 p.m.Feb. 26 and North Greenville University at 9 a.m.March 7.

York Preparatory Academy has cancelled all after-school activities on Tuesday including the State of the School address.

Clover School District school assemblies and 7 p.m. performance of ?Hansel and Gretel? by the Tarradiddle Plays have been canceled for Tuesday. The show will be rescheduled.

Wednesday and Thursday's Fort Mill Parks and Recreation basketball games have been rescheduled to Saturday.

The open house and grand opening of the Bridge House of Children's Attention Home scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled.
