Ace Group promotes Clancy to chairman of Life unit

NEW YORK -- The Ace Group of insurance companies on Thursday promoted Edward Clancy to chairman of its Life division.

Clancy also retains his role as head of the company's worldwide accident and health business. He has been with the Ace Group, which is headed by Ace Ltd., since 1999.

Ace Life includes the company's international life insurance and life reinsurance businesses.

The company also said David Wolf, president of Ace Life, is leaving the company to pursue other career interests. A successor will be named later.
