Skelton will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of the highest level of risk management services to ACE's clients and brokers throughout Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America. In addition, he will support the marine teams in ACE's international operations outside North America, including ACE Global Markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Peter Seymour - Executive Vice President, Marine for ACE Overseas General said: "Phil has played an integral role in positioning ACE as the leading provider of Project Cargo insurance and has acted in an advisory role to some of our major marine multinational clients.
