950,000 Available in Cooperative Agreement for State Health Insurance Assistance Program

WASHINGTON, April 1 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Community Living announced that it expects to award a cooperative agreement for the State Health Insurance Assistance Program to empower, educate and assist Medicare-eligible individuals, their families and caregivers.
The estimated total program funding available was cited as $950,000. The agency said the grant was associated with income security and social services.
This funding opportunity is open to state, county, city, township governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; institutions of higher education; non-profits; and non-profits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
The funding opportunity number is HHS-2017-ACL-CIP-SATC-0224 (CFDA 93.324). It was posted on March 27 with an application closing date of June 7.
