KELLY GAGGIN

* Kelly Gaggin is a consultant with Strategic Communications, LLC in Syracuse. She is currently pursuing her doctorate In mass communications at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. ; ' ^ Gaggin's research focus is in public relations and communications within underserved populations, specifically immigrants and refugees.

Prior to her acceptance to the doctoral program at Newhouse, Gaggin worked as a part-time professor in comI I and public relations at Syracuse University and SUNY Oswego.

With more than a decade of experience in communications and public relations, Gaggin has served as chief communications officer at Syracuse and Utica Academies of Science charter schools and director of marketing and communications for United Way of Central New York. As annual fund manager for a large not-for-profit hospice organization in Southeastern North Carolina, Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center, she was responsible for raising more than $1 million annually as well strategic development of foundation communications. Gaggin was director of retail marketing for Self-Help Credit Union in North Carolina from 2004-2008.

Gaggin currently serves as president of the Public Relations Society of America - Central New York Chapter and holds a master's degree in communications management from Syracuse University. She completed her undergraduate study in business and economics at Le Moyne College.

JONATHAN GRUTKA

Grutka recently launched Pal Joey (www.paljoey.com), a new "Shop Local/Save Local'application available for download in both the Apple Store and Google Play. Prior to launching Pal Joey, he enjoyed building and connecting upstate New York's startup ecosystem as the director of growth initiatives with Upstate Venture Connect, an entrepreneur-led nonprofit

He helped to build a number of new initiatives which resulted in a highly visible and connected community of entrepreneurs, and Grutka being honored with the 2015 Global Innovation Ecosystem Award.

Grutka is a 2012 40 Under Forty winner, 2013 Economic Champion recipient as the co-founder of Advenio, and spent 2.5 years scaling the social-commerce giant LivingSodal throughout the Northeast.

ADAM ROMBEL

Adam Rombel is editor-in-chief of The Business Journal News Network, which indudes The Central New York Business Journal and CNYBJ.com. He leads and directs all news coverage for the organization. Adam, a native of Central New York, has been a business reporter, writer, and editor for nearly 20 years - the last 13 with The Business Journal.

Stepanian has served as a member of the United Way board of allocations, on the board of directors for Vera House (board president) for two terms, and is currently serving his second term and first year as board president

CHERYL ALGER

FOOD BANK OF CENTRAL NEW YORK

Alger is the chief financial officer at the Food Bank of Central New York. She earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Le Moyne College in 2001. After a few initial jobs, Alger began working as an auditor for Green & Seifter Certified Public Accountants, PLLC in 2004. Her focus was primarily on the audit of governmental, not-for-profit and private entities. Public-accounting experience provided Alger with a solid foundation of financial knowledge and refined analytical skills that would carry her forward in her career.

From 2008 through 2011, Alger worked as a senior accountant for SonByrne Sales, gaining valuable experience through preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements for 40 plus retail stores, establishing and maintaining accounting internal controls, and oversight of the monthly warehouse inventory process.

Alger's next career step was to join the Food Bank of Central New York in May 2011 as controller. She quickly advanced to become director of finance in March 2014 and then moved into her current position in July 2016. Alger has responsibility for a finance team of four and for overseeing all matters related to the fiscal operations. Like other Food Bank employees, she recognizes she is not just doing a job but that her work is a valuable and important contribution to the mission to end hunger in this country.

Alger balances her life with many other interests. She holds a strong love for her husband, family, and her five fur/feather pets. Alger's passion for animals often has her strongly advocating for responsible pet parenting and pet adoption. She is excited about running, and has finished two half marathons within the past year. In addition to helping out at Food Bank events, Alger also volunteers her time to help out local suicide-prevention organizations. Finally, in her spare time, Cheryl uses her creativity and do-ityourself skills in and around her home and on gifts for friends and family.

BRIAN BRUNO

SERVOMATION REFRESHMENTS INC.

Bruno is president and chief operating officer of his own company, Servomation, which he has built from the ground up. He directed operations and was president utilizing newer technologies and has maintained 100 percent client retention for eight years. Bruno was the co-founder of OrganicNaturalsnacks.com-2010. Bruno has received th eine 500 Entrepreneurial Award for fastestgrowing companies in 2012,2013,2014, and 2015. His business is growing due to his hard work and business acumen. BERENICE BONILLA

Bonilla is owner and director of Bérica Agency, a Syracuse-based, social-impact branding agency offering communications and event-management solutions to community-oriented clients.

Prior to launching Bérica in Syracuse, she managed communications for the Center for Engineering Leadership at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Before that, Bonilla directed the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) Líderes Initiative - a national youthleadership program that empowers high school and college students to become the next generation of Latino leaders - and produced its national Líderes Summit.

Now living in Syracuse, she remains true to her passion of connecting fellow women of color and entrepreneurs to opportunities through which they can accelerate their academic and economic growth via Bérica Agency.

Bonilla's contributions to Syracuse include her work as director of development and communications at the YWCA of Syracuse and Onondaga County, Inc., where she directed programming for the 2016 Day of Commitment to Eliminate Racism and Promote Diversity. She graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in international relations and holds a master's degree in communication management from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California.

JOHN CONDON

BROWN & BROWN EMPIRE STATE

Condon functions in a dual capacity for Brown & Brown Empire State. He not only manages the commercial insurance needs of his own group of clients, but he also oversees the commercial lines marketing department. Condon is responsible for managing the agency's relationships with all commercial insurance carrier partners and provides guidance and direction to the staff of three marketing representatives that he oversees.

Prior to joining Brown & Brown Empire State in 2009, Condon spent five years in the institutional banking arena in New York City. He graduated from Wagner College in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in political science, and lettered all four years on the college's Division 1 men's golf team.

Outside of work, Condon serves as a student mentor for the Syracuse City School District He also serves on the board of trustees for the Loretto Foundation and is a member of the community relations advisory committee for AccessCNY, Inc. In 2015, Condon and his wife, Alexandra, traveled to rural Nicaragua on a mission dedicated to improving both early childhood education and water quality.

JASON COVEY

COVEY COMPUTER SOFTWARE, INC.

Covey is president of Covey Computer Software, Inc., a business he founded in 2011. He has associate degrees from Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) in math and computer science. Covey earned a bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from RIT. He was one of three finalists for the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Awards in 2015.

Covey has been involved with several community activities and organizations. He assists with the education of high-school students by sponsoring a robotics team, Senior Mindstorm Magicians, both financially and as a mentor. Covey is an adjunct professor of computer science at MVCC and a member of the Cybersecurity and Computer Science Advisory Board. He has donated to the Utica Zoo and also implemented policies to give discounted rates to not-for-profits, such as: Snowbelt Housing Company, Children's Museum, Lowville Food Pantry, Herkimer County Fair, and Utica Zoo.

Covey and his wife Jessica have a 3-year-old daughter, Jenna. When he's not working, he enjoys climbing the Adirondack High Peaks, with 42 out of 46 under his belt. He plans on completing the final four by the end of 2016.

MICHELE COOPER

ONEIDA NATION ENTERPRISES, TURNING STONE RESORT CASINO

Cooper is currently the training manager at Oneida Nation Enterprises. She has more than 12 years of learning and development and leadership experience and holds a bachelor's degree in English writing and education from St. Lawrence University.

As an active member and participant of the CNY Chapter of the Association for Talent Development (ATD), Cooper has served as scholarship chair, supporting and encouraging professional development and continuing education in the field of talent development. She has also served as a judge for the CNY BEST Awards, honoring learning and performance organizations and individuals.

Cooper is co-creator and lead facilitator of the CNY BEST in Learning Practice Award- winning "Leader Learning Circle"training program and serves as a coach to departmental leaders in all areas of the business.

TINA DACATA

D'Agata is a senior manager at Dermody, Burke & Brown, CPAs, LLC in the Retirement Plan Design and Administration Department. As an employee at the firm for the past 16 years, her experiences the industry allows her to efficiently design, prepare, and administer retirement plans for a variety of clients.

D'Agata's professionalism and leadership is equally as apparent in the community where she has lived and served for more than 35 years. On the lacrosse field, in the radio field, and in the community, Daley brings a personal passion for people with every task and this has been reflected over her entire 13-year radio and broadcasting career.

Now a proud SUNY Brockport graduate, she started her professional career before her academic career ended as a promotions tech at WPXY in Rochester. Missing her family and home in Syracuse, Daley returned about 10 years ago to host mornings on WMVN Movin 100.3/96.5. She has been blessed to work with some wonderful charities in the Central New York area including the Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York, Hope for Heather, and the Alzheimer's Association Central NY Chapter. Daley's assistance has raised awareness and monetary donations (well into six figures over her career), and in some cases, saw record numbers.

She credits her family and her husband, Sean for being such strong supporters, always positive and pushing her to be her best. Daley believes working in the public carries an enormous responsibility of being a role model in the community and was honored and humbled to receive the 40 Under Forty award this year due to her hard work and community involvement

BRENT DANEGA

SUNY CORTLAND

Danega is a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a master's degree in business administration. For the past 10 years, he has worked at SUNY Cortland in the human resources office, performing a variety of functions with progressively greater responsibility.

Danega is an active member of the CNY Association for Talent Development and currently serves as vice chair of the Programs Committee. He stays involved in his community coaching youth sports as well as Junior FIRST LEGO league.

Danega resides in LaFayette with his wife and two children; in his free time, he enjoys spending time with family.

GREGG ERIKSEN

COHEN COMPAGNI BECKMAN APPLER& KNOLL (CCB LAW)

Gregg Eriksen is an attorney at Cohen Compagni Beckman Appier & Knoll, a mid-size Syracuse law firm specializing in serving the needs of the health-care community. His practice includes both litigation and transactional work. He is a 2010 graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law, and received a bachelor's degree in political science from Middlebury College.

Eriksen has consistently taken an interest in public service. Growing up in in the Hudson Valley, he worked in constituent services for two members of Congress and one New York State Assemblyman. Shortly after moving to Skaneateles, he ran unsuccessfully for Town Board in 2015, but was then appointed to fill a vacancy on the Village Board in January of this year. He won a special election in March to retain his seat. As a candidate and trustee, Eriksen has been a consistent voice for young families and sensible community planning.

JEREMYEARL

Earl is executive director ofThe Root Farm in Sauquoit. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University in December 1999 and earned his master's degree from Utica College in health-care administration in December 2013.

Upon graduation, Earl began employment at Upstate Cerebral Palsy, working as a pediatric physical therapist in early childhood and school-age education programs, with a primary focus of the treatment of children from birth through 5 years old. In 2006, he assumed a position in administration with Upstate Cerebral Palsy and in 2011 became the associate VP for therapy services. In September 2015, Earl was appointed executive director of the Root Farm, a nonprofit organization focused on learning and healing for people of all ages and abilities through the power of equine, agricultural, and recreational experiences.

Earl has served on the Leadership Mohawk Valley board of directors since his graduation from the program, having served in various board roles, including board president. He also serves on the board for Camp Ronald McDonald for Special Children and has participated in the Mohawk Valley Ride for Missing Children since 2010.

MERYL ERIKSEN

INNS OF AURORA

A native of Skaneateles, Meryl Eriksen, director of food & beverage at the Inns of Aurora, graduated from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration in 2007, with a bachelor's degree. While attending Cornell, she was also enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America, where she earned an associate degree in culinary arts.

Eriksen returned to the Finger Lakes region after working in the Napa Valley and Los Angeles, and began working for the Inns of Aurora, where she had interned as a college student.

Eriksen is chair of the Cayuga County Convention & Visitors Bureau board and also sits on the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce board.

JASON EVANS

ASHLEY MCGRAW ARCHITECTS

Evans is a Syracuse native and a graduate of Syracuse University's School of Architecture. His primary work is as an architect at Ashley McGraw, where he has designed and built many university and civic projects in Syracuse and around New York state.

Additionally, Evans does some freelance work as a graphic designer, primarily doing work that adds positively to the Syracuse area. He worked with Visit Syracuse to redesign its logo to better reflect the energy and optimism of the area, and has designed a series of t-shirts and graphic prints depicting various scenes and neighborhoods found throughout Syracuse.

As a talented graphic artist Evans is very passionate about public art Two downtown art installations were a result of his collaborative vision: Arterie, a paint installation that spans two blocks along Erie Boulevard depicting the site of the Erie Canal that once ran through downtown, and Flowscape, the temporary blue and white design at Perseverance Park, which has added vibrancy to the comer of South Salina and Fayette Streets. In 2014, he received the Downtown Committee Award of Excellence for his continued positive involvement in the city.

Evans writes and maintains the communityfocused blog ReThink Syracuse, commenting on local happenings and envisioning improvements to the urban landscape. He is heavily involved in the local community as a co-director of the American Institute of Architects, a board member of the Poster Project and is a founding member of ReThink81, a community group advocating for the removal of the 1-81 highway.

Frishman is a senior program officer with the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York in its Syracuse office at the Central New York Philanthropy Center. In her role, she oversees the foundation's work in capacity building, public policy, and leadership.

Frishman serves on the board of Camp Cory, a branch of the YMCA of Greater Rochester, the Leadership Council for the Women's Fund of Central New York, and the Community Investment Committee at the United Way of Central New York Her previous volunteer experiences include The Women's Bean Project The Reisher Family Scholarship Program, The Helen M. McLoraine Scholarship Fund for Foster Care & Emancipated Youth, Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable, Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, Colorado Common Grant Application and Final Report Redevelopment Taskforce, Stepping Stones of Denver, and Rose Community Foundation's Research and Development Team for Young Adults.

Frishman holds a master's degree in social science from the University of Colorado, and a bachelor's degree in history from William Smith College in Geneva.

DANIEL GRIFFIN

GROSSMAN ST. AMOUR CPAS PLLC

Griffin has been a senior manager in the tax department at Grossman St. Amour CPAs, for more than nine years. He specializes in corporate and partnership tax, but also assists governmental, not-for-profit clients'personal tax returns. Over the last four years, Griffin has developed the historic tax credit niche at Grossman St. Amour, where he worked on and helped develop more than 25 historic redevelopment projects in Syracuse, Albany, and surrounding upstate areas.

He is a CPA and a certified valuation analyst and a 2007 graduate of Le Moyne College. Griffin has used his valuation knowledge to become involved with the CNY Collaborative Family Law Professionals Group and was recently asked to serve on the executive committee.

Griffin is instrumental in raising awareness and encouraging participation in the community. He has served as a board member and finance chair of the Salvation Army Young Leaders Advisory Council for more than five years. He has organized teams for Turn-Around Jumpers basketball tournament raised money for Tickets for Teens (movie tickets given to teens), volunteers as a personal shopper on Salvation Army Distribution Day, as a rebounder at the Turn-Around Jumpers Canyon Event and does bell-ringing at Destiny Mall and the tree-lighting ceremony in downtown Syracuse. Griffin also participates with his company in "Jumping for Justice," a fundraising event for the Hiscock Legal Aid Society, plays in several charity golf tournaments, and volunteers with Corporate Volunteer Council by delivering dictionaries to third graders at Webster Elementary School.

He also enjoys playing golf and co-ed volleyball with family and friends. He is the son of Fred and Doreen Griffin, and brother to Valerie Griffin, without whom he would not be here today. He wants to thank all the partners at Grossman St. Amour for their help and guidance over the years. Griffin adds that he owes so much to his supporting wife Carly, and their new baby daughter Leilah.

ANN FORDOCK

OCRRA

Fordock is a recycling specialist II at the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency (OCRRA). She has more than eight years'experience in the fields of waste reduction, recycling, and solid waste management for the municipal sector.

Fordock volunteers for the DeWitt Rotary, Clear Path for Veterans, and serves as the co-chair of the 40 Below organization's Civic Engagement task force and volunteers at many 40 Below events throughout the year. Before working at OCRRA, she volunteered there while in college and while working at the USDA.

Fordock holds a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from SUNY-ESF.

MEAGHAN GREELEY

VERA HOUSE, INC.

Greeley is a social worker at Vera House. She is a mover and a shaker in the field of sexualassault prevention, advocacy, and traumainformed care. Greeley is a survivor of sexual and relationship violence and has used her experience of trauma as a catalyst when advocating for change on college campuses, in her community, and across the state of New York She has had a tremendous positive impact on the campus of Syracuse University, as well as in our city and New York state.

She has organized students to advocate for changes on campus and empowered survivors after the closure of the SU advocacy center. She was invited to participate on the SU Chancellor's Workgroup on Sexual Violence Prevention, Education, and Advocacy. Greeley has been on the stage with Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and stressed the importance of legislation, to several New York State dignitaries in support of New York's "Enough is Enough." She has lead the effort in raising awareness regarding sexual and relationship violence on campuses and the importance of trauma informed services and policies. Most recently, Greeley shared the stage with Vice President Joseph Biden in his effort to lend support to these important initiatives through the "It's On Us" Campaign.

Last year, she accepted a position at Vera House as a coordinator for sexual-assault prevention and intervention services on campuses throughout our county. Greeley's advocacy, leadership, compassion, and strength has truly challenged and changed rape culture in Central New York

TIMOTHY HYLE

PREFERRED MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY

Hyle started his career at Preferred Mutual in 2008 as corporate controller. Prior to that, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a manager in insurance audit services in Syracuse and Boston. After four years, Hyle was promoted to his current position as VP of finance and risk management. Shortly after his promotion, he initiated several internal committees to ensure the company's ability to continue its business operations in the wake of a catastrophe. Hyle's leadership and expertise have ensured the company's ability to meet its contractual obligations and commitments to policyholders and uphold its reputation as a financially stable, responsive insurance carrier.

He graduated from Le Moyne College with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and he is a CPA anda graduate of Leadership Chenango, Class of 2010.

Hyle currently serves as VP on the Chase Memorial Nursing Home board of directors, where he has served as a board member for the last six years. Chase also partners with Chenango Housing Improvement Program and provides 32 low-income senior housing apartments and also classroom space for Head Start and a day-treatment program operated by the Broome County Office of Developmental Disabilities.

Hyle lives with his wife Shauna and their 2-year-old daughter in Norwich. He is an avid outdoorsman, hunter, beekeeper, and he even harvests his own maple syrup.

RYAN JONES

ADVANCED BUSINESS SYSTEMS, INC.

Jones is the executive VP and co-owner of Advanced Business Systems, a family-owned business technology company based in Watertown. After earning his bachelor's degree and graduating from SUNY Canton, he went to work for his father as a sales representative in St Lawrence County with his role expanding during the past eight years.

Jones is on the board of directors for the Thompson Park Conservancy and Zoo, and volunteers for multiple nonprofit organizations including the United Way Community Review Committee. He is a strong believer in local businesses supporting other local businesses and their surrounding communities.

JOHN KING

KEY PRIVATE BANK

King is a senior VP at Key Private Bank in Syracuse, where he serves as wealth advisor for high net worth families, institutions, and nonprofit organizations. He has been in the financial-services industry for more than 10 years, and has been in private wealth management for eight of those years.

King received his undergraduate degree from Elmira College. He has since graduated from the board leadership seminar held through Partnership for Nonprofits Enterprise Excellence.

DREW JENK

SPORTS PHYSICAL THERAPY OF NEW YORK, PC

Jenk is the regional dinical director for Sports Physical Therapy of New York, PC. He graduated with his doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Miami in 2004. Since then, he has worked in orthopedics and sports medicine in South Florida, Chicago, and New York. He has worked with all levels of athletes, ranging from pediatric to professional. Jenk has lectured on multiple topics in New York and across the country and most recently published articles on the knee, Functional Movement Screen, a continuing education course for the shoulder, and an elbow paper for Techniques in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.

He has guest lectured at SUNY Upstate for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, and is heavily involved in community service. He is currently VP for Move Along Inc - a Central New York nonprofit that brings adaptive sports opportunities to youth and adults with physical disabilities. Jenk has served the APTA Sports Section in various roles over the years including: awards committee, CSM programming committee, and as current Shoulder Special Interest Group vice chair.

KARA KEYES

LE MOYNE COLLEGE

Keyes is a professor of practice in the Department of Nursing at Le Moyne College. She exemplifies her faculty role as she serves on several college and departmental committees to provide a vision for the nursing program. As a faculty mentor she has traveled with senior level nursing students to Quito, Ecuador, and Ghana, Africa on a Study Abroad trip to provide medical cate to those in need.

Keyes provides extensive service to the community as well. Her services demonstrate caring and appreciation of older adults in our community, most specifically the aging men and women military veterans of World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and those terminally ill. In 2012, Keyes established the Honor Right Syracuse (HFS), director of health and safety role. Without her leadership, commitment, and professional skills applied to benefit the Honor Hight Syracuse missions, the hub would not have become the valued resource for CNY's military veteran community.

Keyes has been published as an author in two nursing textbooks, a contributor in a nursing textbook, and most recently, scholarly work a script writer, and is also currently pursuing her Ph.D.

LAUREN KOCHIAN

MILTON J. RUBENSTEIN MUSEUM OF SCIENCES TECHNOLOGY

Kochian is the executive VP at the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science STechnology (MOST) in Syracuse, overseeing the marketing and fund development of the museum.

She currently serves on the boards of the Syracuse Stage Guild and Matilda Joslyn Gage House. She is also the VP of the Midstate Youth Hockey Association.

Kochian earned her bachelor's degree in public relations from Syracuse University's S.l. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 1999 and her master's degree in media management in 2001, also from Newhouse.

L/NDQEY MANCINELLI

LORETTO/PACE CNY

Mancinelli has served in a number of positions within the Loretto/PACE CNY organization over the past eight years. Starting as a data-entry specialist, she transitioned to an administrative assistant roll in the education department and is now the administrative assistant for the Home Care Agency at PACE CNY.

During her journey with PACE CNY, Mancinelli was given the opportunity to work on the organization's United Way Campaign. She has been the co-chair of the campaign for the last six years and has also lead the Loretto Organization's Young Leaders United Company Chapter for the last two years. Mancinelli has helped the Loretto Young Leaders team grow from 18 members in its first year to 29 members the following year. She and her team were recognized by the United Way for their roll in leadership development in 2014.

In addition to volunteering and spending time with her husband John and 3-year-old daughter Leah, Mancinelli enjoys reading, photography, and day-dreaming that the Bills have a chance of making it to the playoffs this year.

BRIAN LACLAIR

BUTMAN & KING LLP

LaClair is a partner at Blitman & King, where he represents labor unions in collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, National Labor Relations Board proceedings, and litigation. He also represents individual employees and professionals in all areas of workplace law, including employment contracts, severance agreements, wage and hour issues, discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower law.

LaClair volunteers as a pro bono attorney for the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County, which awarded him the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award in 2015. He also volunteers his time as a coach for East Side Soccer and is a member of the Southeast University Neighborhood Association and the Westcott Neighborhood Association.

LaClair obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester and his law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law.

LAURA MC/LROY

SRC, INC.

Mcllroy has worked as a research scientist at SRC, Inc. for the past 15 years. Her main responsibilities include research, compilation, and writing of health consultation documents for various departments within the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Mcllroy specializes in dose-response statistical analysis.

She currently serves on several volunteer committees at SRC, including the United Way and the "Season of Giving," which focus on helping those in need during the holiday season. Mcllroy is also a charter member of the SRC Volunteer Leadership Board. Outside of her workplace, her volunteer focus is on fundraising efforts for Roswell Park Cancer Institute, St. Jude's Children's hospital, and the Onondaga County Wilderness Search and Rescue team. In addition, Mcllroy also collects toiletries and supplies to make and hand out care kits for the homeless.

KAYLA MCKEON

GIGI'S PLAYHOUSE INC.

McKeon is a passionate supporter, founding board member, and employee of Gigi's Playhouse Inc, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center. She is a motivational speaker, drawing on her life experiences to advocate for the differently abled. She strives to be a strong role model, serving as a board member of the Self Advocacy Advisory Board and ambassador of the National Down Syndrome Society as well as a Congressional member of the Special Olympics Athlete Congress.

Her proudest achievements are being named the 2016 Self-Advocate of the Year by the National Down Syndrome Society and representing the United States at the Special Olympic World Games in Athens, Greece, as well as attaining a life dream of getting her NY State driver license.

McKeon's strong inner drive allows her to maintain the same level of commitment in every facet of her life. She is working toward her associate degree, taking classes at OCC and Le Moyne College. She is a Eucharistic Minister at her church as well as an intern for Congressman John Katko in his Syracuse office.

Oh, and by the way, Kayla happens to have Down Syndrome.

JANET MOON

MOON LAW OFFICE, LLC

Moon is an attorney practicing exclusively in the area of immigration law. She serves clients from all over upstate New York and around the world, helping them unite with their family members, obtain green cards, get business visas, or become U.S. citizens. In 2016, she was selected as a Rising Star Super Lawyer in the field of immigration law.

Moon is passionate about helping people the Syracuse community. She volunteers through the Onondaga Volunteer Lawyers Project's Talk to a Lawyer' program and at the local Immigration Clinic. Moon helps raise funds for On Point for College to send local students to college and support them after they get there; and she's also a board member of the CNY chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union.

She is a native of Waterbury, Connecticut and attended Smith College in Western Massachusetts. Moon and her husband moved to the Syracuse area when she attended Syracuse University College of Law and the Maxwell School. Moon and her husband Alan settled in Syracuse and made it their home, where they enjoy playing board games with friends, and hiking with their dog Sailor.

MEGNAN MYLES PLATT

Myles Platt is a senior engineer V at CHA Consulting Inc. She has more than 15 years of environmental engineering and construction experience and holds a bachelor's degree in forest engineering from SUNY-ESF.

Her volunteer activities include: chair, SUNY-ESF Department of Environmental Resources Engineering Advisory Council; council member, SUNY-ESF Department of Environmental Resources Engineering Advisory Council; secretary, Central New York Section of the Air & Waste Management Association; Wish Granter, Central New York Chapter of Make A-Wish; board of directors/ volunteer, It's About Childhood & Family, Inc.

BRADLEY RAPNAEL M.D

SYRACUSE ORTHOPEDIC SPECIALISTS

Raphael is a board-certified, fellowship-trained, orthopedic surgeon, specializing in arthroscopic and ligament reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle. He is a team physician for Syracuse University, SUNY Oswego, Cazenovia College, and various local high schools.

Raphael is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic residency at Hospital for Special Surgery, following a surgical internship at Cornell-Weill Medical School in New York City. He then performed a sports medicine fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. Raphael has extensive experience working in tandem with the team doctors for the Los Angeles Lakers, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the University of Southern California.

When not with his family or on the SU sideline, he supports the Burnet Park Zoo, Young Jewish Leadership Federation, and the New York State Orthopedic Society.

JOHN NERI

Neri is VP of small business in Central New York for Bank of America. He has a passion for helping businesses grow in Central New York and has more than three years of industry experience.

Neri is an active member of the Syracuse community. His involvement in United Way of Central New York's Young Leaders United Steering Committee has been critical to understanding the needs of the community. One of the most memorable volunteer activities was the community-build to end homelessness, where members from all over the community came together to build a home from those looking to regain their independence. Additionally, Neri sits on the board for Aurora of Central New York and is a member of Believe in Syracuse.

SOLON QUINN

SOLON QUINN STUDIOS

In 1983, Quinn was flown across the ocean from South Korea to the United States into the loving arms of the Quinn family.

He graduated from Nottingham High School and left to attend the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Before college, Quinn never doubted that he wanted to be a filmmaker, but during this time, and through a best friend and mentor, he discovered the power of influence coupled with the responsibility of social justice that filmmaking held.

After he returned to Syracuse in 2006, he opened a small video advertising company called 7053 Productions which has since grown into Solon Quinn Studios. Quinn says that this is not a hobby or day job, past time or business, it is his life. The human experience can be expressed through the moving image in ways unlike any other in the history of human existence, he says.

He feels it is a privilege to collaborate with so many local businesses and entrepreneurs who are fighting the good fight and succeeding in their own journeys. Quinn also says it is an honor to work with organizations such as Vera House whose people give their everything - heart, soul, blood and tears - to a cause they live and mission they live by.

SARAN STEPNENS

Stephens has been providing business development, funding procurement and management services to public, private, and not-for-profit sector organizations for more than 15 years. She has managed and/or procured more than $80 million in funding with a variety of granting agencies.

Stephens is a recent graduate of the CenterState CEO Executive Leadership course. She served on the 2009 International Healthy Building Conference planning committee as well as serving on the Clean Communities of CNY board of directors. Additionally, Stephens serves as co-VP for the Ed Smith PTO, coach's soccer for East Side Soccer and Coaches for Valley Little League. She formerly served on the board of directors at the Montezuma Audubon Complex as well as chairing the Benefit Committee.

MEGHAN TIDD

Tidd is chief marketing officer at VIP, a fully integrated architecture, engineering, construction, and development company based in Syracuse. She oversees all sales and marketing and most recently led its rebranding effort and encourages community-driven projects. She initially started at the firm as digital marketing manager.

Tidd is a graduate of the University of Rochester's Simon Business School, where she obtained an MBA with a focus in corporate strategy and marketing. She also graduated from the 2014 Class of Leadership Greater Syracuse, a civic-leadership training program.

JASON WASULKO

SRC, INC,

Wasulko grew up in Central New York and graduated from Liverpool High School in 1997. After graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2002 with a degree in English: creative writing, he returned home and became a senior staff member in the corporate communications department at SRC.

Wasulko is actively involved in the community, donating countless hours to causes close to his heart, from chaperoning his children's class field trips and helping with the Boy Scouts, to flying in Honor Flight missions to honor veterans and their service. He has used his skills and creativity as a videographer to document the Honor Flight Missions and produced a video of WWII Veterans that will be housed in the Library of Congress. Wasulko is a member of the SRC United Way Committee and supports the United Way at various events around Syracuse. He has also used his imagination and creative vision to create award-winning campaign booths for SRC at the United Way's kickoff events.

CLIFFORD TSAN

Tsan is a member of the Syracuse-based law firm of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC. He is cochair of two practices: cybersecurity and data privacy, and e-discovery and information management. In addition, as Bond's diversity and professional development leader, Tsan creates and implements initiatives to help the law firm in recruiting, developing, advancing, and retaining attorneys from all backgrounds.

In both federal and state courts,Tsan has represented clients in corporate information and data management matters such as compliance with legal obligations, litigation holds, and duty to preserve evidence, spoliation and sanctions. JOSHUA WERBECK

BOUSQUET HOLSTEIN PLLC

Werbeck is a business attorney at Bousquet Holstein PLLC in Syracuse. He joined the firm in 2009 as a summer associate and in 2010 as an associate. Werbeck's practice primarily focuses on real estate, employment, and corporate matters.

He serves as VP of Sarah's Guest House, Inc., a not-for-profit hospital hospitality house in Syracuse's Strathmore neighborhood. Werbeck is leading Sarah's Guest House's 2016-2017 strategic planning. He has served as a volunteer in the legal clinics for Vera House, Inc. (2011 -2012), and Say Yes to Education (2011).

Werbeck graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Siena College and a law degree from Syracuse University College of Law.

JON WILCOX

Wilcox is a business-development officer at Savannah Bank N A and has been in the banking industry for 10 years. He specializes in nonowner-occupied commercial real estate loans, lines of credit including blanket mortgages and equipment financing. Wilcox is the chair of Ignite - Young Professionals in Cayuga County. Ignite is a vivacious group of young professionals, born out of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, who promote and value everything Cayuga County has to offer. Additionally, Wilcox sits on a number of boards in the local community including: Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, Ignite, Cayuga Community Fund, Chapel House, United Way Funds Appropriation Committee, ABC PlaySpace Marketing Committee. He enjoys being active in the community as he knows being present is essential to making a positive impact on people.

Wilcox received his bachelor's degree in economics at SUNY Cortland and received his master's degree in management at Keuka College. He has two boys (Caden, 7 and Connor, 5) who keep him very active as they pursue soccer, baseball, swimming, and hockey. He ultimately enjoys spending time with his family, music, outdoors, the arts, and staying active.

MELISSA ZOMPO DAVIS

Zomro Davis has spent some time in the education world but followed her passion to be a small-business owner in the equine industry. In 2006, she became a client of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) on the campus of Onondaga Community College (OCC) to begin the journey of starting her own business. Over the years of being a business owner, Zomro Davis expanded the business from one brick and mortar to adding a mobile unit that traveled up and down the East Coast. During her business years, she continued her education by obtaining her P&C license to sell equine insurance as an extension of her tack shop in CNY. Zomro Davis sold the licensing rights to one of her businesses and expanded to a third business of operating income properties with her husband. Upon the sale of the tack shop, she returned to the SBDC to shadow the advisors there and learn what it took to help other entrepreneurs begin their journey.

Zomro Davis, a state certified business advisor at the SBDC, operates a satellite office in Cazenovia, offering counseling services for startup and existing small businesses through a wide range of networks in Western Madison County. She also holds office hours in Onondaga County at OCC.

Zomro Davis's community involvement includes being the chair of the board of Cazenovia Community Preschool, completing a term as a member of the board of the Friends of Lorenzo, a member of the HCBD in Cazenovia while she was a business owner on Main Street, and a current member of the Cazenovia Chamber of Commerce, representing the SBDC.

Zomro Davis earned a bachelor's degree from Cazenovia College as well as an M.S.T. in teaching from Le Moyne College with a certification in special education.

RYAN YORK

PINNACLE INVESTMENTS

After starting his career with a global investment firm, York joined Pinnacle Investments in 2011. In July 2014 he was named CEO of Pinnacle's sister company, Confidential Planning, a registered investment advisor that provides retirement programs for school districts throughout New York state. York became CEO of Pinnacle Investments in October 2015 and continues to serve in both roles.

He is a graduate of the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and is very active in the community. York has volunteered and served on the board of directors for several organizations including the Syracuse University Alumni Club of CNY, Arc of Onondaga Foundation, Hospice of CNY Auxiliary, Greening USA, and Home Headquarters.
