$11 Million Available in Cooperative Agreements for Community Assistance Program in Five States

WASHINGTON, June 4 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced that it expects to award up to 52 cooperative agreements for the Community Assistance Program to provide technical assistance to communities and to evaluate community performance in implementing National Flood Insurance Program floodplain management activities in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
The estimated total program funding available was cited as $11 million. The agency said the grant was associated with state floodplain management technical assistance.
This funding opportunity is open to state governments.
The funding opportunity number is DHS-17-MT-023-006-99 (CFDA 97.023). It was posted on May 31 with an application closing date of July 30.
