Crump Names New President; Promotes Carney To CEO
Harrisburg, PA. (Oct. 11, 2021) -- Crump Life Insurance Services today announced that Michael Martini has been named president of Crump, effective Oct. 1, taking over the role from Rob Carney who was recently appointed Crump chief executive officer. Martini reports to Carney, who in addition to his Crump CEO role, also was recently named CEO, CRC Group–Life, Retirement, and Benefits Solutions Division.
“Mike has been a valuable member of the Truist Insurance Holdings team for 19 years, 16 of which have been at Crump. His industry and company knowledge, coupled with his experience in building out many components of Crump’s institutional channels, including our Truist Life Insurance Services business unit, uniquely positions Mike to drive our future growth strategy,” Carney said.
“I look forward to working closely with Mike. Among his many accomplishments, Mike has a proven track record of strong business and people development. I know he will have great success driving sales and organizational growth as he takes on responsibility for leading all of our broad and diverse sales channels,” said Carney.

In addition to Martini’s previous experience at Crump, he has led retail property and casualty and employee benefits businesses. Earlier in his career, Martini served as executive vice president and head of global accounts for two of the world’s largest information services organizations. In addition, he led sales, marketing, and strategic alliances for a venture capital-backed firm, providing straight-through-processing services to financial institutions.
Martini is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, OH, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and was a letterman on the Redskins football team. He and his wife, Donna, reside outside of Salt Lake City, UT.
