EPA Sends Rule Reports on Air Quality Implementation Plans to Senate

WASHINGTON, July 30 --The director of EPA'sRegulatory Management Division has sent to the Senate, pursuant to law, five rule reports. The rule reports, forwarded to the Environment and Public Works Committee on July 22, included:

* "Interim Final Determination to Stay and Defer Sanctions, Clark County Department of Air Quality"

* "Approval and Promulgation of Air Quality Implementation Plans; Ohio; Redesignation of the Bellefontaine Area to Attainment of the 2008 Lead Standard"

* "Approval and Promulgation of Air Quality Implementation Plans; Texas; Control of Air Pollution from Motor Vehicles, Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance and Locally Enforced Motor Vehicle Idling Limitations"

* "Approval and Promulgation of Air Quality Implementation Plans; Indiana; Solvent Degreasing Operations Rule"

* "Approval and Promulgation of Air Quality Implementation Plans; Illinois; Amendments to Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Program for Illinois"

Other reports were also received from the following agencies.

* The assistant secretary for Legislative Affairs of the Department of the Treasury has sent, pursuant to law, the Financial Stability Oversight Council 2014 annual report to Congress to the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.

* The assistant legal adviser for Treaty Affairs of the Department of State has sent, pursuant to law, the report of the texts and background statements of international agreements other than treaties (List 2014-0084--2014-0089) specified in the Case-Zablocki Act as amended to the Foreign Relations Committee.

* The director of the Office of Personnel Management has sent, pursuant to law, a rule report entitled "Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program; Qualifying Life Event Amendments" (RIN3206-AM57) on July 23 to the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
