Webinar to Cover Workers’ Comp Experience Modification Rate Changes
Targeted News Service
FAIRFAX, Va., Jan. 3 -- The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association issued the following news release:
SC&RA has scheduled a critical, time-sensitive webinar on January 24 at noon EST to educate members about 2013 changes in the Workers' Compensation Experience Modification Rate. The adjusted rate, as recalculated by the National Council for Compensation Insurance, will affect how much employers will pay in workers' compensation insurance this year. More importantly, it will change the Frequency and Severity Weighting in the calculation, which will stand to increase some and decrease other companies' rating above or below 1.0. Many construction customer contracts will not allow companies with a rating above 1.0 to bid on their projects.
Learn how this change is calculated and how it will affect your company. Explaining it all will be two executives from NBIS, SC&RA's business and casualty insurance partner: Bill Smith, Executive Vice President, and Peter Bellnier, Compensation Underwriter Specialist.
