Registration Now Open for AHIP’s 2018 Federal Marketplace Training Program for Agents, Brokers
WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 7, 2017– Registration is now open for America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) 2018 Individual Marketplace training and certification course for health insurance agents and brokers ahead of open enrollment. This CMS- approved course offers the tools, training, and resources needed for agents to prepare for open enrollment and help meet the needs of their customers as they renew or sign up for their 2018 health plan.
By completing AHIP's FFM course, agents and brokers will fulfill their training compliance obligations, receive Continuing Education (CE) credits, and meet government-required registration requirements for the 2018 benefit year.
"AHIP is committed to helping consumers make the right choices for their health needs – and agents and brokers play a vital role in that process." says Greg Dean, Vice President, Curriculum Development at AHIP. "Hundreds of thousands of agents and brokers rely on AHIP's training programs to better serve their clients. We’re proud to once again offer this training, and at a lower price than previous years."
The following four training options are available, and CE credits can be earned in most states:
• Individual Marketplace Training - Required training to sell on the Individual Marketplace for agents new to the Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) program
• SHOP Marketplace Training - Recommended but not required to sell on the small business Marketplace
• Combined Individual and Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Training
• Refresher Training - Limited to agents and brokers who participated in the FFM for 2017
The 2018 federal Open Enrollment period for Exchange Marketplaces will be condensed, open from Nov. 1 through Dec. 15, 2017. For more information on FFM training and registration, visit www.ahip.org/FFM.
