Bravo Wellness and Mayo Clinic Collaborate to Bring Combined Expertise to Employee Health and Drive Improved Outcomes

Cleveland, OH and Rochester, MN, May 1, 2013 – Bravo Wellness and Mayo Clinic announced today their collaborative effort to provide a seamless, turnkey solution that will help mitigate employers’ health care costs while rewarding employees for healthier lifestyles.

Through this new relationship, Bravo Wellness clients will now have access to Mayo Clinic’s suite of population health solutions. In turn, Mayo Clinic will be able to offer clients robust, outcomes-based incentive options. Recognized for their industry-leading expertise and involvement in the field of outcomes-based incentive programs, Bravo provides clients with seamless administration, creative plan designs, and compliant programs that meet an organization’s culture and needs. Bravo brings expertise and state-of-the-art technology to manage the appeals and “reasonable alternatives” process. Bravo’s unique ability to track progress toward personalized goals, established for each individual, offers a fair approach embraced by employees and employers alike. In addition, Bravo’s strong history of demonstrated return on investment provides the funding employers may need to engage enhanced intervention tools, such as those offered by Mayo Clinic.

For nearly 150 years, people from all walks of life have found answers at Mayo Clinic. Mayo Clinic’s commitment to health extends beyond the hospital and clinic doors into the cubicles and conference rooms of businesses through Mayo Clinic Global Business Solutions. Drawing upon Mayo Clinic’s expertise in the medical, behavioral and online interactive arenas, this team developed the Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth portal, addressing the full spectrum of health management goals from health risk identification, to preventive education and self-care. From health assessments, newsletters and books, to their telephonic coaching and nurse line, Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth is an extensive wellness resource that encourages participants to adopt healthier lifestyles.

This collaboration between Mayo Clinic Global Business Solutions and Bravo Wellness allows clients from both companies to benefit from additional offerings; an opportunity for healthier bottom lines, healthier employees, and health care savings to both the client and its employees.

Bravo Wellness founder and CEO, Jim Pshock, is thrilled about this collaboration. “Mayo’s vast resources significantly enhance the featured options we have available to our clients, allowing participants access to the expertise of one of the world’s leading medical institutions.”

“We are very excited to introduce Bravo’s incentive capabilities to our clients that have migrated from a participation-based model to an outcomes-based model,” says Mike Casey, Vice Chair of Mayo Clinic Global Business Solutions. “This collaboration will help motivate individuals as they make a personal commitment to healthier living.”
