Wyoming Democratic Party Issues Statement on Senate GOP Health Care Law

Targeted News Service

CHEYENNE, Wyo., June 27 -- The Wyoming Democratic Party issued the following statement by Chair Joe M. Barbuto in response to the latest attempt by Senate Republicans to repeal the Affordable Care Act and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's decision to postpone the vote:

"The recently unveiled GOP Health Care legislation makes one thing abundantly clear: John Barrasso and Mike Enzi have little concern for the working men and women of Wyoming.

"This bill will leave thousands of Wyomingites without health care, cut funding to rural hospitals, and make it harder for folks with pre-existing conditions to get the coverage they need."

"It's no wonder that Republican Senators like Enzi and Barrasso chose to draft this bill in secret.

"Offering major tax cuts to the super wealthy while cutting access and affordability to quality health care for the people who need it the most says a lot about where the GOP's priorities are, they are more interested in lining the pockets of millionaires than making America great."
