WASHINGTON- Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after President Trump declared the opioid epidemic a national public health emergency:
"175 Americans die each day from a drug overdose. Our country simply cannot look the other way. This is a national emergency and today's announcement signals an unwavering commitment by this administration to address this epidemic. I am committed to working with the President and my colleagues in Congress to bring solutions to these challenges and end the suffering that so many families confront every day."
