Bedford Gazette (PA)
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — An upcoming Penn State Extension webinar, "Smart Choice/Smart Use Health Insurance: Smart Actions for Mental Health," is aimed at helping people understand how to use health insurance to pay for mental health care and manage expenses related to ongoing care.
This webinar will take place from 1:30 to 3 p.m.April 10.
The program is designed for people interested in learning more about the management of health care, with a particular focus on prioritizing their mental well-being and strategies to effectively navigate the health care system and make informed decisions regarding their mental health care coverage.
Organizers noted that mental health care is a rapidly evolving sector of insurance, so it's important to know coverage in case services are required. During the event, participants can discover the range of services available, understand the importance of seeking treatment for mental health challenges, and learn how to use insurance to cover expenses and manage costs.
The webinar is free, but attendees must register by 11:45 p.m.April 9 to get the access link.
Those who register also will receive a link to watch the recording of the program.
