Mr. Alvites, a strategic leader in audit and risk management, comes to Venerable with two decades of experience in the insurance and financial industries and will be accountable for managing day-to-day responsibilities for the internal audit function. He will lead a team of professionals in organizing, planning, and executing audits, including providing direction in evaluating controls, reviewing compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, reviewing testing, and reporting results to senior leadership, external audit partners, and the audit committee.

Prior to joining Venerable, Mr. Alvites spent time in various assurance and advisory leadership roles with Prudential Financial, General Electric Capital Corporation, Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., and Ernst & Young, LLP. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Citadel, a M.B.A. from Fordham University, and is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Scrum Master. Mr. Alvites will be based in Venerable’s West Chester, Pennsylvania offices.

Ms. Ellis joins Venerable to direct multiple compliance functions and provide guidance to leadership across the organization to ensure that all products, procedures, contracts, and services comply with state and federal laws, rules and regulations, and internal standards.

Prior to her appointment as Vice President, Compliance, she supported the broker-dealer compliance program at Athene and has nearly two decades of experience in insurance, serving in a variety of compliance roles at Venerable and its predecessor companies. Ms. Ellis has a bachelor’s degree in management from Luther College, is a Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP®) and holds FINRA series 6, 26, and 99 licenses. She will be based in Venerable’s Des Moines, Iowa offices.

Venerable is also celebrating the promotions of Susan Clark to Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner, and Alexandra Findleton to Vice President, Corporate Development.

Ms. Clark has nearly two decades of experience at Venerable and its predecessor companies, having served in a variety of HR roles at ING and Voya. She provided support to business partners through Voya’s IPO and transitioned to Venerable to assist with standup of the organization in 2018. Ms. Clark will continue to partner with functional leaders at Venerable, providing strategic consulting on HR issues, and direct HR programs, procedures, and practices such as talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, change management, and employee relations. She holds a degree in psychology and business administration from the University of Northern Iowa.

As Vice President, Corporate Development, Ms. Findleton will continue to manage the underwriting and execution of reinsurance and merger and acquisition opportunities as well as source and evaluate strategic opportunities to improve the risk profile and economics of Venerable’s business. Prior to joining Venerable in 2019, she began her career with Oliver Wyman as a management consultant where she was instrumental in developing insurance liability models and technology to support annuity new business sales strategies and policy administration system conversion for various life insurance clients. Ms. Findleton holds a bachelor’s degree of mathematics in math/financial analysis and risk management from the University of Waterloo.

“We are thrilled to welcome George and Angie to Venerable and celebrate the promotions of Susan and Alexandra.
