USAA Piloting Auto Insurance Quotes Through Google Compare

Search results for California residents now include USAA

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- California drivers shopping for auto insurance online can now receive USAA rate quotes and coverage information in their Google^® search results through the Google Compare^TM service that debuted in March 2015.

USAA is piloting the program in California in an effort to explore new ways to reach more of the estimated 60 million Americans who may be eligible for USAA insurance products.

“For those unfamiliar with USAA, this could provide another way for potential members to discover USAA and learn about our competitive products and exceptional customer service,” said Jon-Michael Kowall, assistant vice president, innovation, USAA Property and Casualty Insurance Group.

As part of Google quote process, users will be asked a couple of questions to determine potential eligibility with USAA. If their answers indicate they may be eligible, USAA quotes will be included in the list of quotes they receive. The quotes on Google Compare are based on the same rating system as those provided on usaa.com or the USAA Mobile App.

The user can then call USAA to determine eligibility and purchase the policy. Also available on the Google quote page are consumer reviews, ratings, and awards for the carriers.
