May 14-- May 14--Three local police officers were hurt during a minor crash along President Trump's motorcade Tuesday afternoon in Louisiana, the White House confirmed in a statement.
Trump's armored limousine did not appear to be involved, but two motorcycle officers were seen with "very bloodied arms," NBC News reported.
A spokeswoman for the Calcasieu Sheriff's Office told KSLA News 12 that two Calcasieu motorcycle officers and a Sulphur Police Department officer suffered "moderate" injuries.
The White House said all three officers were being treated at a nearby hospital and were "in stable condition." The accident took place on Interstate 10 near Lake Charles.
Trump was in Louisiana to tour and speak at Sempra Energy's natural gas facility in Cameron Parish. When he arrived, the president was greeted by Louisiana Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser, who was wearing socks featuring Trump's face and hair.
