The Growth of Legal Cannabis Industry Sales

The legal cannabis market is growing rapidly as recent legalization in certain states contributed to the accelerated growth in the United States. According to a report from Arcview Market Research, regulated cannabis sales in North America were $6.9 billion in 2016, a 30 percent increase from 2015. Sales are projected to reach $21.6 billion by the year 2021, representing a 26 percent compound annual growth rate.
