Arch Capital closes purchase of RMIC Cos.

RMIC Cos. and its subsidiaries have been acquired by Arch U.S. MI Holdings, a subsidiary of Greensboro-based Arch Capital Group.

Terms were not disclosed for the deal that closed Monday.

RMIC and the subsidiaries together comprise the run-off mortgage insurance business of Old Republic International Corp.

The companies will be merged into Arch MI's existing U.S. primary mortgage portfolio, according to David Gansberg, chief executive of Arch's Global Mortgage Group.

White Oak Senior Living portfolio set for sale

National HealthCare Corp. said Tuesday it has entered into an agreement to acquire the North Carolina and South Carolina facilities within the White Oak Senior Living portfolio.

Terms were not disclosed. The transaction is projected to close in the third quarter. White Oak was founded in 1964 and is based in Spartanburg, S.C.

The planned purchase includes a facility in Burlington and five other locations in North Carolina.

KeraVet Bio partners with clinic system

KeraVet Bio, a veterinary wound care company based in downtown Winston-Salem's Innovation Quarter, said Monday it has formed a partnership with veterinary clinic system WellHaven Pet Health.

The partnership also includes the charitable organization Pet Peace of Mind that's dedicated to the care of animals whose owners are experiencing a health event that can include being terminally ill.

For every tube of KeraVet Gel purchased by WellHaven Pet Hospitals, KeraVet Bio has committed to donating $1 to Pet Peace of Mind.

KeraVet Gel is formulated to address mild and severe wounds, post-surgical incisions and a range of dermatological conditions while also alleviating the need for cones or other lick deterrents.

Pet Peace of Mind works closely with more than 300 hospice partners to care for and rehome pets during the end-of-life journey. Formed in 2009, the organization serves an average of 5,000 pets each year through its network of affiliates.

Southeast Mechanical enters Fla. marketplace

Southeast Mechanical, a Winston-Salem provider of heating, ventilation, plumbing and electrical services, has announced it has acquired Climate Design Home Services of Clearwater, Fla.

Terms were not disclosed.

The transaction marks Southeast Mechanical's first expansion into the Florida market.

Southeast Mechanical, founded in 2020, provides HVAC services to a wide range of residential and commercial customers with its primary focus on short-term, residential changeouts and service contracts.
