Texas Democratic Party Issues Statement on Affordable Care Act
Targeted News Service
AUSTIN, Texas, April 27 -- The Texas Democratic Party issued the following statement by Chair Gilberto Hinojosa as Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton, along with 20 other Republican attorneys general, sued to stop the Affordable Care Act. Again:
"This another savage attempt from Republican Ken Paxton to strip healthcare away from Texans. It's disgusting that indicted Republican Ken Paxton and his Republican accomplices would be willing to jeopardize the healthcare of 1,126,838 Texans.
"Ken Paxton is way out of line with Texas values. The facts are clear: Texans want to expand on the progress made by the Affordable Care Act, prefer a universal health insurance program, and hate the job Donald Trump is doing on healthcare.
"Texans won't tolerate Paxton's nonsense. It's time we elect Texas Democrat Justin Nelson who'll fight for everyone's fair shot to get ahead."
