TORONTO (AP) — TORONTO (AP) — Sun Life Financial Inc. (SLF) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $564.9 million.
On a per-share basis, the Toronto-based company said it had net income of 94 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.23 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.17 per share.
The financial services company posted revenue of $13.73 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $2.34 billion, or $3.90 per share. Revenue was reported as $30.2 billion.
