Study: Republicans Are Spiking Americans’ Health Care Premiums

MADISON, Wisconsin, Feb. 28 -- The Wisconsin Democratic Party issued the following news:
A new report released this week has found that the "Trump administration's efforts to loosen health insurance rules will increase premiums for Obamacare plans by double-digit percentages in most states next year."
The analysis, published by the nonpartisan Urban Institute, finds that Trump-led, Republican sabotage of health care markets will spike consumer costs and cause "[m]onthly payments for a traditional health insurance plan sold through Obamacare [to] go up by 18 percent."
Republicans have been trying to undermine the Affordable Care Act and destabilize the American health care system for years, and now consumers are paying the price.
But that isn't stopping Republican U.S.Senate candidates Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson from continuing to support dangerous Trumpcare repeal plans that would gut protections for people with preexisting conditions and strip health care coverage away from up to 30 million Americans.
And Vukmir and Nicholson also oppose the U.S. Senate's bipartisan Alexander-Murray deal to stabilize health care markets and correct Trump Administration sabotage.
"Donald Trump and Republicans are leading the effort to undermine Americans' health care access and spike consumer costs, and Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson have stood by them every step of the way," said Brad Bainum, Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson for the 2018 Senate race. "Vukmir and Nicholson have been consistently supportive of Republican efforts to take away millions of Americans' coverage."
