March 18-- Mar. 18--ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud woman was injured in a three-car crash Sunday afternoon, according to a media release from Tad Hoeschen with St. Cloud Police Department Monday.
About 2:40 p.m. officers responded to a crash with injuries at 25th Avenue South and West St. Germain Street, the release said. They determined Benjamin Joseph Bernard, 40, of Luverne was westbound on West St. Germain Street "and crossed 25th Avenue without yielding to oncoming traffic."
Safiya Hassan Hussein, 38, of St. Cloud was southbound on 25th Avenue South when Bernard's vehicle hit hers, the release said. This forced Hussein's vehicle into a Ford Pickup stopped at a stop sign facing east on West St. Germain.
All three vehicles were damaged.
"Hussein was transported by Gold Cross ambulance to the St Cloud Hospital for minor non-life-threatening injuries," the release said. "Bernard was cited for fail to yield the right of way, no proof of insurance, and no insurance."
